09.04.2017, Fairfax,VA, 3pm-5pm, Grassroots activists in Northern VA

This bake sale will take place at the Eagle Bank arena at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. It will be held as part of our Veganism outreach at Ringling events we are running for weeks in the DC area. The full schedule is available below. Please see full protest schedule below. The Final DMV Ringling Protests Schedule 2017 THE END OF RINGLING After 133 years in business, Feld Entertainment is shutting down their Ringling Brothers circus permanently. Our outreach has worked. Unfortunately, their current victims (including the many they added when they took the elephants off the traveling show) will not see freedom. Ringling plans to sell them to other exploiters. The elephants who were removed from the traveling show last year are still suffering in Feld’s Florida compound they deceptively call “Center for Elephant Conservation”, which is actually where they have bred and broken the elephants, and where the remaining elephants continue to languish in pain on concrete floors and now the victims of research. Might they breed them again? Feld tells the public it is conservation, but it is no such thing. Feld continues to profit. Their victims still need our voices as do the other victims of the people who attend the circus. These are not truly circus protests, because our message is more holistic. This is an opportunity to do legal and peaceful outreach about veganism to hundreds of people in one location waiting to get into the shows. We will speak for those who cannot join us there to speak for themselves, but who protest their abuse daily with their cries, screams, begging for mercy and attempts to fight for freedom and to protect their children. Their need is urgent and they are depending on each of us. The captive audience at the circus will hear their messages. . Non-vegans are very welcome at these protests. Signs and leaflets will be provided (all grassroots, no group names). Please remember to bring water to drink and wear comfortable vegan clothing and shoes. Please be prepared for the weather; we will hold these events in most weather, including light rain and snow. If you have questions please email NoOneIsProperty@gmail.com or post in the Walt Rave Memorial Group on Facebook. Please consider joining many of us from different states for an historic event as we converge on Uniondale, New York for Ringling’s final show. See the end of the schedule for more details. 23.04.2017, Denver,CO, 11am-2pm, Nooch Vegan Market and Blackheart Creations

6th Annual Denver WVBS, Fundraiser for Rooster Sanctuary at Danzig’s Roost Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale is a global event in which folks run a vegan bake sale and donate the profits to help animals in need. Last year, we raised $1500 for the Rooster Sanctuary at Danzig’s Roost, a local Colorado animal sanctuary where farmed birds who would otherwise have died an unnecessarily early and brutal death can live out their lives in health, peace, and loving care. This year will mark our 6th Annual Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale, and we’ll again be raising funds for our dear friends at Rooster Sanctuary at Danzig’s Roost. You can help us raise even more money this year! Vegan Van will be parked out front serving up brunch during the bake sale! Both NOOCH Vegan Market and Vegan Van will be donating 10% of their sales to Danzig’s Roost that day as well! How can you get involved? 1. Donate baked goods! We are accepting donations of vegan baked goods from shops, vegan-friendly businesses, and local home bakers! Since 100% of the proceeds of the bake sale will go to a non-profit, your donation is tax-deductible, and we will also feature your name in our advertising for the event (including blog and social media posts) and at the bake sale itself. We ask that your goods be 100% vegan and that you provide an ingredient listing for allergen information. 2. Volunteer your time! We always need help the day of, whether it’s hanging signs, picking up donations, cleaning up, or slinging baked goods. Our WVBS crew always has a great time together! 3. Show up and buy baked goods! Join us at NOOCH Vegan Market on April 23rd and get some baked goods! Everything is donation-based, and even a little goes a long way. Do a little extra and bring your friends and family!
